Top Tips for a Successful Application Process

Be Wary of Scams: Unfortunately, platforms like Facebook Marketplace and even Zillow can have fraudulent listings. Working directly with a property management company or licensed real estate agents (like me!) ensures a safe and legitimate process.

Showcase Your Income: Landlords typically require proof of income that is 2.5–3x the monthly rent. Be sure to include all sources of income (employment, unemployment, SSI, child support, vouchers, etc.) on your application. Showing more income makes your application stronger and helps demonstrate financial stability to landlords.

Credit Score and Background Check: Most landlords prefer applicants with a credit score of 600+ and a healthy background check. If you’re unsure of your credit or have concerns, let’s discuss strategies to present your application in the best light.
